Whitby Abbey in Early Morning Sunshine

Whitby Abbey stands proudly above the historic seaside town of Whitby, illuminated by the warm sunshine of an early morning on the Yorkshire coast. The impressive ruins sit high on the headland, overlooking the town and the North Sea, creating one of North Yorkshire's most recognisable historic landmarks. This photograph captures the beauty, history and atmosphere of Whitby in the gentle light of a new day.
