Collared Dove coming into Land

A collared dove approaches its landing spot, wings spread and feathers fanned as it prepares to touch down. The soft grey-beige plumage and distinctive black collar are beautifully displayed in this moment of movement. A lovely wildlife photograph capturing the everyday behaviour of one of Britain's most familiar garden birds.
